My contribution to ENGin
A volunteer of ENGin, a nonprofit organization that connects native English speakers as online tutors for children in Ukraine.
Through my service as an ENGin Ambassador, I have expanded outreach and recruitment by initiating the Lingua Link Club Anchored in teaching English to the Ukrainian youth while fostering empathy and cross-cultural understanding among high schoolers, I have guided 13 new volunteers into the ENGin Volunteering Program to advance Ukrainian children' s English, improve communication skills, enhance reading and comprehension, build upon vocabulary, and promote intellectual growth. Additionally, we raised over 200 dollars through a Dunkin Donuts Fundraiser selling 12 dozen boxes in support of ENGin.
With a rapidly progressing world of technology, we tend to forget that the basic of humanity is human connection and communication. English is an essential medium of communication and for nations that wish to advance their people to be able to be part of the interconnected world and have impact in science, research, the arts, various other fields, and making the impossible possible. By teaching English, a widely prevalent language, this is used as a medium to enhance the lives and opportunities of those who want betterment.
